S. Peter's London Docks
Welcome to S. Peter's

Welcome to St Peter's London Docks.

This parish church in the East End of London founded by Father Charles Fuge Lowder and other priests of the Society of the Holy Cross has a long reputation for holiness and service. Father HA Wilson, for many years Vicar of S. Augustine's Haggerston called it, "the holiest and homeliest church in London", some things don't change.

S. Peter's is in Wapping Lane, London E1, a short distance from The Highway. Nearest Tube Station: Wapping 200 yards

The Church is fronted by the great gaunt Clergy House, built as a memorial to Father Lowder and completed in 1882. It is still a home for the clergy and a centre of Parish activity. Christian Education, social events, meetings and interviews all take place here.

S. Peter's London Docks has an austere and gaunt frontage, inside there is beauty, holiness, welcome and a presentation of the Christian faith that is Catholic and warm, a faith for today and everyday. Come and See.
