Learning the Faith

There is a serious commitment at S. Peter’s to teaching the faith and providing resources for all age learning.

Children’s Work

S. Peter’s London Docks has an established Child protection policy, under annual review, following the guidelines of the Diocese of London.

Children’s Teaching: Confirmation

Confirmation groups for children run each year from October to early September the following year.

The groups meet in the Clergy House, the teaching is by one of the priests, assisted by lay people. There is a full course, including written work, homework and teaching on prayer.

All children make their first confession before they are confirmed.

Registration for the next course is in October 2015, just before School half-term week

Adult Learning

The Pilgrimage to faith should be both challenging and fun, we seek to enable that at S. Peter’s

The next journey will be announced in mid-October 2015…..come back for the date!

The setting of the course is informal, the evening includes, coffee, tea, discussion, and teaching.Over a few weeks those with little contact with the Christian faith can build a picture of the main outlines of faith and practise, the practical applications of this faith at S. Peter’s and in Wapping and the implications for their own lives.
